Monferrato among vineyards and flavors

An experience in the hills of Monferrato, where the wine-growing landscape meets historic villages, small producers, and traditional Piedmontese productions.

Over three days you move between Nizza Monferrato, Moasca, Agliano Terme, and Canelli, following the thread of Barbera d’Asti and alternating winery visits, tastings, outdoor moments, and encounters with those who work these hills every day.

The stay begins in Nizza Monferrato, with time to walk freely through the historic center and stop at the Bell Tower, where you can receive an introduction to the region at the tourist office. After checking in at your accommodation, the evening is at leisure.

The following day takes you to Moasca, to Tenuta Il Nespolo, for a visit among the vineyards and cellar spaces. Here you taste 6 wines accompanied by cheeses produced by I Formaggi di Moasca, in a journey that brings together wine and cheese productions through aromas, flavors, and pairings. After the tasting, you stop among the vines for a picnic with a selection of local products.

In the afternoon you continue to Agliano Terme, where you stop at BAart, a space dedicated to Barbera and the village, before walking through the vineyards along a scenic route dedicated to the denomination.

The last day is dedicated to gastronomic productions and Canelli. You meet a small local producer, enter their facility, and follow the production stages up close, with a tasting of the products.

You can then stop for lunch at Osteria dei Meravigliati, inside the Enoteca Regionale di Canelli, and continue with a walk through the historic center to the Underground Cathedrals, the historic cellars carved into the tuff beneath the city.

After the visit you still have time to enjoy Canelli before concluding your stay in the hills of Monferrato.
