Discover Roero with the trifolao and his tabui, hunt for truffles among woods and hazelnut groves, and meet local producers, flavors, and traditions
Set off to discover Roero, a land rich in biodiversity and shaped by the Rocche, spectacular geological formations created over time by erosion.
Among woods and hazelnut groves, you’ll meet the trifulao and his tabui (his faithful dog), protagonists of a tradition still tied to the rhythm of the seasons. Together with them, you’ll walk medium-difficulty trails immersed in nature, searching for truffles and discovering an activity passed down through generations.
At the end of the walk, an aperitif with local artisanal products awaits you: truffle specialties, cured meats, cheeses, honeys, and a glass of Langhe DOC Nebbiolo.
The journey continues through the villages of Roero, amidst gastronomic traditions, Slow Food presidia, and hilly landscapes.
The following day, a shepherd welcomes you to his underground cruin, an aging cellar where cheeses mature according to practices passed down over time. A tasting accompanied by a glass of Roero Arneis DOCG concludes the experience.
