High Langa

The existence in the proximity of ancient necropolis, paved Roman roads and funerary steles confirm that the town has existed since ancient times.

The village is located in Valle Uzzone and is characterized by uncontaminated landscapes where you can walk through unusual itineraries far from the noise.

The economy of Camo is predominantly agricultural and focuses on the cultivation of the Muscat grape, from which are obtained the precious Asti DOCG and Moscato d'Asti DOCG.

Camerana is made of many different little villages, among which Villa, with its medieval tower and other monuments. The tower, symbol of the town, was built in 1268.

Village in the Belbo valley known for its typical products: the hazelnuts, the white beans known as “Regina di Spagna” (queens of Spain) and the robiola cheese made from goat milk.

The name of the village originates from the legendary story of Nella of Cortemilia, who was imprisoned in the village's castle so as not to submit to the lusts of the local squire Lionello.

The municipality consists of a handful of houses gathered around the parish church and an old stone chapel, a few farmsteads scattered on the steep slopes, and the small hamlet of Lovera.

Benevello, built on the north border of the “alta Langa”, offers a wonderful view on Alba and its territory.

The village is characterized by terracing supported by stone walls typical of the area. Its name derives from the tower of ancient pre-Romanesque origins.
