High Langa

The name of the village originates from the legendary story of Nella of Cortemilia, who was imprisoned in the village's castle so as not to submit to the lusts of the local squire Lionello.

The municipality consists of a handful of houses gathered around the parish church and an old stone chapel, a few farmsteads scattered on the steep slopes, and the small hamlet of Lovera.

Benevello, built on the north border of the “alta Langa”, offers a wonderful view on Alba and its territory.

Built on the border between the Dogliani area and the first hills of the so-called “alta Langa”, Belvedere is famous for the view it offers.

The town, inhabited by 150 people, is the smallest Italian municipality; it’s made of a few houses gathered around the parish church of the Guardian Angels.

The village is characterized by terracing supported by stone walls typical of the area. Its name derives from the tower of ancient pre-Romanesque origins.
