A pleasant winter walk starting from the historic center of Serralunga, a medieval village known for the great Barolos and for the presence of one of the most suggestive castles of the Langa.

The territory

We will reach the panoramic bricchi that dominate an alluring landscape, a silent landscape wrapped in its winter rest, an unusual Langa.

We will touch numerous panoramic points from which you can enjoy a 360-degree view from the Langa to the Alpine Arc, from the Castles to the foothills.

Arrived at Bricco del Gallo, in the territory of Roddino, we will walk along a panoramic, wild, and silent ridge to reach the historic center of the village.

The small village on the borders between the Bassa Langa and the Alta Langa, known for the presence of the Osteria da Gemma, hosts a work of contemporary art that leaves the museums to reveal itself to those who stop in the discreet and secluded historic center of the village: the work consists of a very colorful mural with geometric shapes, the drawings cover the entire facade of a three-story building, with a view of the surrounding countryside.

We will return to Serralunga following the paths that cross the territory of the Torricella and Sant’Anna hamlets and while walking we will admire a landscape of great beauty.

At the end of the excursion, with the last entry at 5:30 PM, you can participate in a special event.

In the Castle of Serralunga d’Alba, in addition to the castle guide, the feudal lord of the ancient Piedmontese Pietrino Falletti family, intent on giving instructions on the cultivation of his possessions, on the penalties provided for those who damage the harvest, and on the economy of Serralunga.

At the end of the visit, it will be possible to taste the wines of a farm in Serralunga d’Alba.
