In Ceresole d’Alba, Cascina Italia carries on a tradition linked to the Red Lands of the Poirino Plateau, where ancient fishponds, called “tampe” in Piedmontese dialect, once collected rainwater and hosted tench farming.

The Golden Tench of Ceresole d’Alba comes from these ponds, a symbol of local gastronomy and the star of the historic September festival.

Since 1994, Cascina Italia has recovered and enhanced this ancient practice, raising tench in the historic ponds and processing them in its own artisanal workshop.

JUPPI is a farm and educational farm in Roero, where for four generations fruit has been grown with a focus on sustainability, respect for the environment, and a bond with the surrounding countryside.

Through tours, workshops, tastings, and outdoor activities, the farm tells the story of the agricultural world in an authentic and engaging way, guiding families and tourists to discover orchards, biodiversity, and local flavors.

Among the offerings you'll find the walk in the orchard with tasting, the Fruttosfida, a five-senses treasure hunt among the fruit trees, and various themed workshops designed to bring you closer to nature in a practical and fun way.

The farm L'Ottavo Sapore was born from a passion for the land and the warmth of the Griseri family, who welcome you "home" by sharing values, stories, and emotions tied to agricultural life.

In Roero, the farm cultivates Nocciola Piemonte IGP, Castagna Canalina, and saffron. From these fruits come typical products, and more, prepared with recipes that highlight the work in the fields and the farm's raw materials.

The visit also becomes an opportunity to discover Roero up close: its Rocche, wild and fascinating, provide the backdrop for nature treks, historical walks, tastings, wines, and local products.
