Today the family still retains the <strong>Manzoni cellar<\/strong>, which takes its name from the adjacent vineyard where the precious Barolo comes from. The building is quite old, dating back to <strong>1750<\/strong> and was built <strong>using \u00a0a special technique<\/strong>: a pit was dug from the ground where the load-bearing walls were built, while the vault was placed on the ground. Once the construction was completed, the cellar was emptyed from the inside.<\/p>\n<div class=\"caption__container content__image aligncenter size-entry_without_sidebar\"><div class=\"ratio\"><div class=\"ratio__content\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-11435 size-entry_without_sidebar\" src=\"https:\/\/langhe.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/resized__MANZONI-007-1000x423.jpg\" alt=\"fratelli ferrero\" width=\"1000\" height=\"423\" \/><\/div><\/div><p class=\"caption__text\">The ancient Manzoni winery<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>During your visit to the winery<\/strong> you\u2019ll <strong>see the barrique barrels where our Manzoni ages<\/strong> and uncover the mystery of the <strong>Moet et Chandon magnum<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Production Method<\/h3>\n<p>The limestone and clay ground produces\u00a0wines of great structure and exceptional longevity, capable of surprising after a long aging period.\u00a0 When young, they have quite pronounced and harsh tannins and pungent and persistent aromas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Winemaking<\/strong>: in stainless steel tanks through\u00a0pumping, manual crushing and carbonic maceration which takes place only in the best vintages when the grapes ripen perfectly. This \u00a0allows for greater complexity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ageing<\/strong>: the high concentration of tannins, due to the vineyard\u2019s limited production, is finalized in French oak barrels, thus making the wine darker.<\/p>\n<h3>Tasting<\/h3>\n<div class=\"content__image alignright wp-image-55363\"><div class=\"ratio\"><div class=\"ratio__content\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-55363\" src=\"https:\/\/langhe.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/barolo-manzoni-380x840.png\" alt=\"Barolo Manzoni - Fratelli Ferrero\" width=\"300\" height=\"663\" srcset=\"https:\/\/langhe.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/barolo-manzoni-380x840.png 380w, https:\/\/langhe.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/barolo-manzoni-380x840-136x300.png 136w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p>The Manzoni Barolo has a <strong>ruby red<\/strong> color with shades ranging from grenade to orange as the refinement of the product increases. The <strong>aroma<\/strong> is <strong>intense<\/strong> and <strong>complex<\/strong>: notes of <strong>ripe fruit, spices, cocoa and tobacco<\/strong> attract your attention.
