There are stories that start from a specific place and then expand over time, following a natural evolution<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Ours begins in Alba<\/a>, in 1998, when Langhe.net took shape in a context where tourist interest <\/strong>was certainly not what it is today and digital tourism<\/strong> was still entirely to be built. <\/p>\n\n

The Langhe were the first story<\/strong>, a structured look at an area that over the years would win over an increasingly wide audience, eventually becoming one of the most sought-after international destinations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Today our base is in Albaretto della Torre<\/a>, in Alta Langa, where the hills change, rise, become harsher<\/strong> and less “tame.”<\/p>\n\n

In this article, however, we want to tell you how, over the years, our gaze has opened up to new directions<\/strong>: those of two extraordinary areas<\/strong>, with a strong identity<\/strong> and a bold character<\/strong>, which we have deeply fallen in love with: Roero and Monferrato.<\/p>\n\n

Roero: sand, Rocche, and character<\/h2>\n\n

Roero immediately breaks the mold<\/strong>. Just a few kilometers from the Langhe, the hills become more irregular<\/strong>, vineyards alternate with woods <\/strong>and orchards<\/strong>, and the presence of sand\u2014a rare and distinctive element\u2014completely changes the perception<\/strong> of the territory. <\/p>\n\n

The Rocche of Roero<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n

The Rocche of Roero<\/a>, with their steep cliffs<\/strong> and deep gullies, tell an ancient geological story <\/strong> and convey the idea of a landscape in constant motion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The towns of Roero also reflect this energy. Bra<\/a> remains the most dynamic reference point<\/strong>, but it is by climbing the ridges that everything becomes more expansive and suggestive, among small villages<\/strong>, natural viewpoints<\/strong>, and vistas that change at every turn.<\/p>\n\n

Places like Guarene<\/a>, Magliano Alfieri<\/a>, or Mont\u00e0<\/a> overlook the Tanaro valley with wide, continuous views, while Santo Stefano Roero<\/a> and Vezza d\u2019Alba<\/a> follow the line of the Rocche, between interrupted vineyards<\/strong> and wilder stretches<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Canale<\/a> is one of the liveliest centers<\/strong> of Roero, with its historic porticoed layout <\/strong>along the main street, its wineries, shops, and a calendar of events<\/strong>\u2014most notably the Peach Fair<\/strong>\u2014that make it something of a nerve center for the area. <\/p>\n\n

Monferrato: breadth, stratification, widespread identity<\/h2>\n\n

Monferrato stands out for its breadth and complexity<\/strong>: it is vast, and the hills follow one another with a soft, continuous flow<\/strong>, creating a landscape that changes slowly<\/strong> and requires time to be understood.<\/p>\n\n

Here, there is no single center, but a network of places<\/strong> that together build an articulated and layered identity.<\/p>\n\n

Asti represents a historical and cultural reference<\/strong>, but Monferrato expresses itself fully through a plurality of centers<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Among these are Nizza Monferrato<\/strong>, strongly linked to Barbera, Canelli<\/a>,<\/strong> with its UNESCO heritage underground cathedrals, Casale Monferrato<\/strong>, elegant and rich in history, and Acqui Terme<\/strong>, famous for its millennial thermal springs<\/strong> and for the “Bollente,” the hot water spring that gushes at over 70\u00b0C in the historic center.<\/p>\n\n

This complexity is also found in the wines<\/strong>: Barbera is expressed in many forms, from more immediate profiles to more structured ones, while grape varieties like grignolino<\/strong> and ruch\u00e8 <\/strong>offer less conventional interpretations.<\/p>\n\n

Monferrato builds itself over time<\/strong>, through a sum of experiences that together return a deep and coherent identity.<\/p>\n\n

A new story<\/h2>\n\n

The Langhe have the merit of having attracted international tourism<\/strong>, building a strong and recognizable image over the years, and shining a spotlight on an area that is now a benchmark in the global food and wine scene<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

This journey has also paved the way for greater attention toward the surrounding areas.<\/p>\n\n

Precisely for this reason, today it is essential to change perspective<\/strong>. Roero and Monferrato cannot be read as an extension of the Langhe<\/strong>, nor as a variation of them. <\/p>\n\n

They have their own characteristics, both in landscape and flavors, and require a dedicated look, capable of highlighting their differences without flattening them. <\/p>\n\n

Telling their story means moving beyond established logic<\/strong> and building a new language, more true to reality <\/strong>and less tied to comparison. <\/p>\n\n

LoveRoero and LoveMonferrato: consolidating the new path<\/h2>\n\n

In recent years we have started working in an increasingly concrete way<\/strong> on these territories with our tour operator<\/strong>: we have designed experiences<\/strong>, organized tastings, built itineraries<\/strong>, and launched projects that focus on food and wine<\/strong> and direct contact<\/strong> with the landscape and the people. <\/p>\n\n

This work has led us to build relationships<\/strong> with producers, artisans, and local businesses that contribute every day to defining the identity of these areas, which are absolutely worth discovering.<\/p>\n\n

It is precisely from this continuous dialogue that a clear awareness is born: there is still much to tell. Not because Roero<\/strong> and Monferrato <\/strong>are little-known places, but because they have often been observed only in part, without a narrative capable of conveying all their complexity<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

From these premises, LoveRoero<\/strong> and LoveMonferrato<\/strong> are born\u2014two brands that mark the beginning of a new phase <\/strong>of our journey. It is not simply about two new brands, but about the development of dedicated content, experiences<\/strong>, and collaborations<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

In the coming months, new initiatives, events, and editorial projects<\/strong> will take shape, directly involving those who live and work in these areas with the intention of building a narrative<\/strong> that is not just descriptive, but manages to convey the real value of these places<\/strong>, highlighting what makes them unique.<\/p>\n\n

What we are starting is not a short-term project<\/strong>, but a path destined to evolve over time. If the Langhe represented the beginning, today Roero and Monferrato are a natural continuation of that story<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n
