{"id":3020,"date":"2012-01-31T19:18:46","date_gmt":"2012-01-31T18:18:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.langhe.net\/?p=3020"},"modified":"2017-09-25T17:12:48","modified_gmt":"2017-09-25T15:12:48","slug":"doc-dolcetto-alba-meriame-2010","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/langhe.net\/en\/3020\/doc-dolcetto-alba-meriame-2010\/","title":{"rendered":"Dolcetto d&#8217;Alba DOC Meriame 2010 Gabutti Boasso"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>Gabutti Boasso winery<\/strong> of <a title=\"Serralunga d\u2019Alba\" href=\"https:\/\/langhe.net\/town\/serralunga-dalba-piedmont\/?lang=en\">Serralunga d&#8217;Alba (Cuneo) <\/a>produces a very good red wine remarkable for its armony and intensity<\/p>\n<p>of scents: <strong>Dolcetto d&#8217;Alba 2010 &#8211; Meriame<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It differs from the usual Dolcetto for its softness and complexity of aromas made of intense fruity parfumes which make it less sharp and acid (typical characteristic of Dolcetto, that&#8217;s\u00a0dry and not sweet as the name, Dolcetto=sweet, suggests).<\/p>\n<p>It is produced &#8220;in purity&#8221;, using the same grapes, in the vineyards of Meriame (Serralunga). It is aged 3-4 months in bottles and other 8 months in steel tanks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tasting notes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is of a red intense ruby colour with slight garnet nuances.<\/p>\n<p>The aroma, strong and intense, is very fruity (reminds cherries and ripe red plum) with a delicate almond and pepper hint at the end.<\/p>\n<p>The taste is well structured and persistent, dry and quite warm (13 degrees). The perfect balance between its components (acidity and tannicity) helps it to be armonic and nicely smooth.<\/p>\n<p>Dolcetto is ideal when combined to aperitifs or appetizers like grilled vegetables, salt pies, salads or cold nuts and middle aged <a href=\"https:\/\/langhe.net\/food\/cheeses\/?lang=en\">cheese<\/a> in general. In 2006, due to her deep love for wines, she became a Sommelier (wine taster) with the \"F.i.s.a.r\". association.
