{"id":3005,"date":"2012-01-21T17:13:30","date_gmt":"2012-01-21T16:13:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.langhe.net\/?p=3005"},"modified":"2022-08-01T17:11:02","modified_gmt":"2022-08-01T15:11:02","slug":"docg-moscato-asti-2011-boasso","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/langhe.net\/en\/3005\/docg-moscato-asti-2011-boasso\/","title":{"rendered":"Moscato d&#8217;Asti DOCG 2011 &#8211; Gabutti Boasso"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"DOCG Moscato d\u2019Asti\" href=\"https:\/\/langhe.net\/en\/wines\/moscato-dasti-docg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Moscato d&#8217;Asti<\/a> is a white sweet and slightly sparkling wine from Piedmont (not to be confused with &#8220;Asti spumante&#8221;), vinified\u00a0using white Moscato grapes in purity, in the provinces of Alessandria, Asti and Cuneo.<\/p>\n<p>The wine we&#8217;re about to taste is the <strong>Moscato d&#8217;Asti D.o.c.g. 2011<\/strong>, produced by the\u00a0<strong>Boasso<\/strong> family in their farm in Serralunga d&#8217;Alba, Cuneo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tasting notes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pale yellow in colour with light golden reflections, it presents that typical sweet taste of the Moscato but aromatic and rightly alcoholic (5.5 degrees) at the same time.<\/p>\n<p>Its typical fruity and floreal<em> bouquet <\/em>remembers lemons, yellow peach, sage and almond.<\/p>\n<p>The taste is sweet, nicely fresh and aromatic. With a middle alcohol level of 5,5%, it has to be served cold at 4-6 degrees in the right glass called <em>flute,\u00a0<\/em>in order not to generate too much foam and keep the right effervescence.<\/p>\n<p>Being a young wine, it must be consumed within two years from its production.<\/p>\n<p>The best gastronomic combination to sweet wines is with desserts and pastries in general, \u00a0just to allow a valid mutual exaltation of tastes.<\/p>\n<p>We can then combine it with all kind of desserts (fresh and dry pastries) such as a\u00a0<strong><a title=\"Zuppa Inglese\" href=\"https:\/\/langhe.net\/recipes\/zuppa-inglese-en\/?lang=en&amp;lang=en\">zuppa inglese<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(trifle) or a soft\u00a0<a title=\"Hazelnut Cake\" href=\"https:\/\/langhe.net\/recipes\/hazelnut-cake-2\/?lang=en&amp;lang=en\"><strong>hazelnut cake<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>but, if you dare to try, taste it with cold cuts (perfect with <em>prosciutto crudo<\/em>) and middle aged\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/langhe.net\/food\/cheeses\/?lang=en\">cheese<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Moscato d&#8217;Asti is a white sweet and slightly sparkling wine from Piedmont (not to be confused with &#8220;Asti spumante&#8221;), vinified\u00a0using white Moscato grapes in purity, in the provinces of Alessandria, Asti and Cuneo.
