It is the time when the area really comes alive<\/strong> with a desire to get together, have fun and experience every corner until late.<\/p>\n\n

If you’re planning a weekend here<\/strong>, or if you simply want to be inspired<\/strong>, here’s an overview of events not to be missed<\/strong>: village festivals featuring traditional dishes<\/a>, outdoor concerts, cinema under the stars, music and theater festivals, vineyard evenings, and touring dinners among villages and farmsteads.<\/p>\n\n

Alba Jazz Festival<\/h2>\n\n

July 3 to 6<\/em><\/h4>\n\n

The Alba Jazz Festival<\/a> is now a must for summer evenings in the Langa<\/strong>: four days of live music<\/strong> amid international notes<\/strong> and emerging young talent<\/strong>. Since 2007, piazzas and outdoor venues have been transformed into a full immersion of jazz<\/strong>, jam sessions and workshops. <\/p>\n\n

\"mohini<\/figure>\n\n

This year, from July 3 to 6<\/strong>, four unmissable evenings<\/strong> are scheduled: starting with Lakecia Benjamin<\/a>, contemporary vocalist on groove and soul; then Mohini Dey<\/a>, phenomenal funk-jazz bassist<\/strong>; the auteur trio De Piscopo-Moroni-Bonaccorso<\/a>; and in closing Aym\u00e9e Nuviola<\/a>, known as “La Sonera del Mundo,” Cuban music with her magical blend of musical genres<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Demarie: summer dinner, keytar and DJ set<\/h2>\n\n

Saturday, July 5<\/em><\/h4>\n\n

Summer<\/strong> at Demarie’s winery<\/a> kicks off in music on Saturday, July 5<\/a>: From 7:30 p.m. until midnight, the outdoor dehor and garden above the barrique cellar<\/strong> are transformed into a stage among the vineyards<\/strong> at sunset.<\/p>\n\n

Accompanying the live dinner<\/strong> will be Davide Cuccu, with an engaging and modern keytar & DJ set<\/strong>. A set menu with a Piedmontese flavor<\/strong> (homemade appetizers, roast and hazelnut cake) will be served, all included, along with a glass of wine<\/strong> to christen the beginning of the evening. <\/p>\n\n

GoodWine Neviglie<\/h2>\n\n

July 11 to 13<\/em><\/h4>\n\n

GoodWine Neviglie<\/a> is one of the most anticipated summer festivals<\/strong> in Langa, three evenings that transform the small village into an open-air living room <\/strong>where wine, culture and cuisine meet. Guided tastings, studied pairings<\/strong> and dialogues between local producers and guests <\/strong>from other regions give a sensory journey that goes beyond the glass. <\/p>\n\n

To stroll through the streets of Neviglie<\/strong> on these evenings is to discover the attention to detail<\/strong>, the eagerness to compare and the authentic welcome<\/strong> of a town that knows how to tell its story.<\/p>\n\n

Each event features a different theme, with selected wines and traditional dishes<\/strong> served outdoors. There is no shortage of in-depth<\/strong> talks led by experts, chats with winemakers and the chance to experience the Langa in a genuine way<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Dinner in the vineyard <\/h2>\n\n

Saturday, July 12<\/em><\/h4>\n\n

Drocco Luigi Winery<\/a> in Alba opens its doors (or rather its rows) to a very special vineyard dinner<\/a>. The event offers a guided tour of the winery<\/strong>, explanations of microbiological and agronomic cultivation, and narration of the philosophy of winemaker Roberto Drocco<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Then, amidst the natural lights of the vineyard and the relaxed atmosphere, we move on to then aperitif<\/strong>, followed by dinner<\/strong> with 3 typical appetizers, 2 rustic starters, a main course with side dish, and a homemade dessert, all paired with house wines<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The experience is designed for everyone: vegetarian and children’s menus on request<\/strong>, and even an option to extend the discovery with an e-bike ride.<\/strong> Prices start at \u20ac67 for adults, with discounts for non-drinkers <\/strong>and children. <\/p>\n\n

Monfortinjazz<\/h2>\n\n

July 5 to August 3<\/em><\/h4>\n\n

The 2025 edition of Monfortinjazz<\/a> takes place as always in the charming Horszowski Auditorium<\/strong>: an open-air amphitheater<\/strong> carved out of the natural conformation of the medieval village<\/strong>, famous for its perfect acoustics<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Now in its 49th edition<\/strong>, the festival confirms its vocation<\/strong> as a prestigious stage for Italian and international artists<\/strong>, combining quality and immersive atmosphere in the landscape of one of Italy’s most beautiful villages.<\/p>\n\n

\"The<\/figure>\n\n

This summer’s bill is a mix of virtuosity<\/strong>, energy<\/strong> and experimentation<\/strong>. It starts on July 5 with 40 Fingers<\/a>, an acoustic guitar <\/strong>quartet capable of reinterpreting rock classics, soundtracks <\/strong>and original songs.<\/p>\n\n

On July 15 comes Kamasi Washington<\/a>, cult saxophonist who mixes jazz, hip-hop and spirituality in a visionary project. On July 20, space is given to The Original Blues Brothers Band\u00ae<\/a>, featuring the soul-rhythm & blues energy of the stars of the cult film. On July 30 it will be the turn of pianist Brad Mehldau<\/a>‘s refined trio, followed on Aug. 3 by Italian rock-folk icon Edoardo Bennato. <\/p>\n\n

Vintage markets <\/h2>\n\n

Sunday, July 27<\/em><\/h4>\n\n

Three not-to-be-missed events<\/strong> for those who love to browse through vintage items<\/strong>, antiques and memories of yesteryear. In Santo Stefano Belbo, the Timeless Market<\/a> invades Umberto I Square from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. with more than 80 exhibitors<\/strong>: vintage furniture, worn books, ceramics, vintage clothing and antique jewelry<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

At the same time, Asti’ <\/strong>s Piazza Alfieri and Piazza Libert\u00e0 host the traditional Antiques Market<\/a>, active from dawn to dusk<\/strong>: unique pieces, curiosities and collectibles among the historic streets of the center.<\/p>\n\n

In the Roero, in Canale, the Gran Merca’ delle Pulci<\/a> is staged, a weekly market with more than 150 stalls <\/strong>set up along the medieval village-a<\/strong> veritable open-air museum <\/strong>where you can find furniture, jewelry, prints and vinyls, surrounded by picturesque views among towers, porticoes and ancient courtyards.<\/p>\n\n

Outdoor cinema<\/h2>\n\n

July 5 to 31<\/em><\/h4>\n\n

From the first week of July to the end of August, historic courtyards and squares <\/strong>are transformed into movie theaters under the stars<\/strong>, with screenings of contemporary films<\/a> and large audiences.<\/p>\n\n

In Bra, every Thursday<\/strong> (plus one Saturday) in the picturesque setting of the courtyard of Palazzo Traversa<\/strong>, art-house films<\/strong> such as Paolo Genovese’s “Follemente<\/a>,” and Clint Eastwood’s “Juror #2<\/a>,” are shown<\/strong>, with admission for only \u20ac 3.00.<\/p>\n\n

In Alba, the Guido Sacerdote Arena hosts a parallel festival with screenings<\/strong> in a convivial atmosphere<\/strong> ready to engage both cinephiles and those looking for a different evening.<\/p>\n\n

Under the sky of the Roero <\/h2>\n\n

Saturday, July 26<\/em><\/h4>\n\n

In the shadow of the rows of Villa Cornarea in Canale, the unique event of Sotto il cielo del Roero<\/a> returns: a dinner among nature, flavors and conviviality. <\/p>\n\n

From 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., travel through vineyards and hillsides<\/strong> to enjoy a scenic aperitif<\/strong> and a guided tour of the estate, during which you will discover the vocation of the Roero terroir<\/strong> amid stories and genuine scents.<\/p>\n\n

Burattinarte Summertime<\/a> is the historic festival that brings puppet<\/strong>, marionette and figure theater performances to the villages of the Langhe and Roero <\/strong>throughout the summer<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

In July, the festival enlivens squares, courtyards and parks with free events<\/strong> designed for young and old, including comedy, poetry and theatrical crafts.<\/p>\n\n
