{"id":2662,"date":"2011-11-24T13:14:09","date_gmt":"2011-11-24T12:14:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.langhe.net\/?p=2662"},"modified":"2017-09-25T17:29:35","modified_gmt":"2017-09-25T15:29:35","slug":"docg-barolo-riserva-brunate-2005-borgogno-francesc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/langhe.net\/en\/2662\/docg-barolo-riserva-brunate-2005-borgogno-francesc\/","title":{"rendered":"Barolo Riserva Brunate DOCG 2005 &#8211; Borgogno Francesco"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the heart of the Langhe hills, from the <a title=\"Cantina Borgogno\" href=\"http:\/\/cantinaborgogno.com\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Borgogno Francesco<\/a> winery, we discover the <a title=\"Barolo Docg\" href=\"https:\/\/langhe.net\/wines\/docg-barolo\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Barolo<\/a> Riserva Brunate D.o.c.g. 2005.<\/p>\n<p>The Nebbiolo grapes, vinified in purity, come from the Brunate area, near La Morra (Cuneo), which terrain is ideal for the wine making.<\/p>\n<p>As we well know the Barolo has a perfect longevity which allows it to mantain and improve over time, reaching that elegance and strenght that so much characterize it.<\/p>\n<p>In this case this Barolo appears exemplary since it\u00a0presents a good general structure but not yet defined in all its parts. It should, therefore, wait a minimum of 1-2 years more to really taste it in all its completeness, considering that the 2005 vintage promises significant results.<\/p>\n<p>Let us analyze it in particular through the tasting notes:<\/p>\n<p>The colour is clear, garnet with light orange highlights. It is quite dense showing those typical &#8220;tears&#8221; on the glass due to the amount of alcohol in it (14,5 degrees).<\/p>\n<p>The aroma is delicate and slightly spicy with hints of small red fruit such as blackberries and currants.<\/p>\n<p>The taste is dry, quite sapid and acid. It is a fruity wine and well tannic, a little spicy and very bitter.<\/p>\n<p>Even if at the moment it is not so well balanced in all its parts, this is certainly a wine with great potentials that will reach its peak of development with the right expectation.<\/p>\n<p>We can clearly combine it to rich and tasty dishes based on red meat and game such as: roasts, <a title=\"Boiled Meat\" href=\"https:\/\/langhe.net\/recipes\/bollito-misto\/?lang=en&amp;lang=en\">boiled meat<\/a>, <a title=\"Boar with Barolo\" href=\"https:\/\/langhe.net\/recipes\/boar-with-barolo\/?lang=en&amp;lang=en\">boar with Barolo<\/a>, <a title=\"Braised Duck\" href=\"https:\/\/langhe.net\/recipes\/braised-duck-chest-with-barolo\/?lang=en&amp;lang=en\">braised duck<\/a>,<a title=\"Roasted Kid\" href=\"https:\/\/langhe.net\/recipes\/roasted-kid\/?lang=en&amp;lang=en\"> roasted kid<\/a> or with strong aged cheese like the <a title=\"Castelmagno\" href=\"https:\/\/langhe.net\/819\/castelmagno\/?lang=en&amp;lang=en\">castelmagno<\/a> or the <a title=\"Toma\" href=\"https:\/\/langhe.net\/976\/toma-piemontese\/?lang=en&amp;lang=en\">piedmontese toma<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It must be served at the middle temperature of 18\/20 degrees after a right decantation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the heart of the Langhe hills, from the Borgogno Francesco winery, we discover the Barolo Riserva Brunate D.o.c.g. 2005.
