{"id":2305,"date":"2011-10-08T17:22:13","date_gmt":"2011-10-08T15:22:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.langhe.net\/?p=2305"},"modified":"2017-09-25T17:46:02","modified_gmt":"2017-09-25T15:46:02","slug":"docg-gavi-di-gavi-2010","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/langhe.net\/en\/2305\/docg-gavi-di-gavi-2010\/","title":{"rendered":"DOCG Gavi di Gavi 2010 &#8211; Gemma"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Cortese di Gavi\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gavi_di_Gavi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gavi<\/a> is a white wine produced in the province of Alessandria (Piedmont) and made with 100 % Cortese grapes.<\/p>\n<p>In 1974 Gavi was awarded DOC status, in 1998 it was made DOCG and became famous in the whole world.<\/p>\n<p>The vineyards are cultivated at altitudes of 300 metres on calcareous and clayey soils.<\/p>\n<p>Its grapes are harvested in the first half of September and the fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature.<\/p>\n<p>The Cantina Gemma\u2019s <a title=\"Gavi di Gavi 2010\" href=\"http:\/\/gemmacantine.it\/vini\/gavi-docg\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gavi di Gavi 2010<\/a> (Serralunga d\u2019Alba) shows a pale straw-yellow colour with green reflexes. The nose is delicate with fruity notes of pear, grapefruit and white and yellow flowers. It is a medium-bodied wine, dry and full on the palate with clear mineral notes, that highlight its grape variety. The finish is intense, fine and elegant, with a slight acidity that conveys freshness.<\/p>\n<p>Ideal for aperitifs and appetizers, but also with pasta with tomato sauces, fish dishes and soft <a href=\"https:\/\/langhe.net\/food\/cheeses\/?lang=en\">cheeses<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Serving temperature: 8-10 \u00b0C<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gavi is a white wine produced in the province of Alessandria (Piedmont) and made with 100 % Cortese grapes.
