Two years after the previous publication, we decided to enrich our review of “picnic spots” with new suggestions of equipped and not equipped areas between Langhe and Roero.<\/p>\n

Located at about one kilometer from Benevello<\/a> on the provincial road 106 towards Bossolasco<\/a>, the small rural chapel<\/a> was built in 1923<\/strong>, constructed on the ruins of an older building.<\/p>\nLegend<\/strong> has it that St.Francis<\/strong> stopped here to pray during his journey to Liguria.<\/p>\nFrom the panoramic viewpoint<\/strong> in front of the church one can enjoy one of the most beautiful views<\/strong> of the lower Piedmont.<\/p>\nThe surrounding area is great for a picnic<\/strong>, even in the shade of the many trees<\/strong> that encircle the chapel.<\/p>\nBassa Langa<\/h2>\nThe rural chapel of San Gervasio<\/h3>\n

For those in the surroundings of Alba<\/a> in search of a quiet place<\/strong> to spend a few hours away from the sun<\/strong>, a great spot can be the green area and sports park of San Cassiano<\/strong>.<\/p>\nIt\u2019s a public park<\/strong>, located on the outskirts of the city<\/strong>, with large shaded areas, a big parking lot<\/strong>, a public transportation stop and lots of bars<\/strong> nearby.<\/p>\nMini equipped areas for short breaks<\/h3>\n

On the edge of the village there\u2019s a path that goes into the woods<\/strong> up to a small elevated and panoramic point<\/strong>.<\/p>\nYou can stop to eat in the Asfodelo picnic spot<\/strong>, surrounded by ancient trees<\/strong>, or choose another point.
