The most refined tastes<\/strong> cannot but like this fruit, that can satisfy sight, smell and taste at the same time.<\/p>\n

Strawberries in history<\/h2>\n

Strawberries have first been farmed in Roero some forty years ago<\/strong>, but a coherent marketing strategy is much more recent.<\/p>\n

Historians believe that strawberries were eaten and appreciated in ancient times<\/strong>, such as the Naolitic and Paleolitic eras.<\/p>\n

In the following eras, when man started farming and breeding cattle, the gathering of these fruits<\/strong> no longer was a matter of survival, and was somehow neglected.<\/p>\n

Strawberries became again famous in the Renaissance<\/strong> period: S. Francesco di Sales admired its \u201cfresh innocence\u201d, and Shakespeare said they were the fairs\u2019 favorite food.<\/p>\n

From then on, aristocratic cuisine<\/strong> started using strawberries and Louis XVI was said to greatly love them.<\/p>\n
