Carrù

History

Many archeological findings show that Carrù was inhabited by the Bagenni tribe from Liguria, then by the Romans.

In 901 it was given by a diploma to the bishop of Asti.

In the XIII century it was a property of the marquis of Monferrato, who gave it as a feud to the marquis of Ceva.

In 1328 it was a part of the property of the Acaja family, and they later gave it to the Bressano family.
