The historic residence Duchessa Margherita is a prestigious Maison de Charme in Vicoforte, a small village located in the Langa Monregalese.
The hotel, which was given the Châteaux & Hôtels Collection award, is the ideal place for those who want to have a luxurious and relaxing holiday.
The villa was named after Duchess Margherita, daughter of Carlo Emanuele I of Savoy and Catherine of Habsburg. To date, it still preserves the charm of ancient noble courts, with its paintings, antiques, period furniture and royal atmosphere, complemented by the most modern comforts.
Luxury Rooms and Wellness in the Mansion
The staff has numerous proposals and packages specially designed to guide guests to discover the local taste and culture.
Internal and external customers can also make use of the beauty and relaxation area for treatments and massages performed by the in-house operator.
On the first floor there is an outdoor mini-Jacuzzi pool that can be used in summer, while on the attic floor there is a Jacuzzi sauna.
The latter is characterized by infrared waves combined with chromotherapy and music therapy to promote psychophysical well-being.

A stately, elegant, luxurious and private home
The villa was built around the middle of the 19th century, well before the monumental complex was completed by the erection of the four perimeter bell towers.
The family of Vittorio Mantelli and Antonietta Dardanelli lived there until their passing in 1973. The house was later closed and fell into disrepair.
The historic house was named after Margherita, the first of her daughters and the one most devoted to Vicoforte, so much so that she granted a substantial bequest to the Cistercian monks at the time of her death.
In 2009 it was purchased by the current owners who completely restored it to its original splendor and furnished it with antique and precious furniture, period fireplaces, and refined furnishings.

Duchessa Margherita’s rooms are divided into Romantic Deluxe, Petite Suite and Classic:
- 2 Romantic Deluxe Jacuzzi rooms with whirlpool tub
- 2 Romantic Deluxe rooms with hydromassage shower
- 1 Petit Suite room
- 1 Deluxe room
- 1 Classic room
Each is characterized by a unique style, a special layout and original antiques.
Wooden floors are complemented by beds with ergonomic mattresses, designer Frette sheets, period fireplaces, antique furniture and precious porcelain.
A balcony with a view of the hills, a gilded mirror, a suite with a sitting area and a Louis XVI-style chest of drawers are just some of the precious decorative elements.
Each room has a private bathroom with a shower or a bathtub with hydromassage and chromotherapy, complete with Hermès and L’Occitane toiletries.
Breakfast
In the elegant breakfast room on the ground floor, you can enjoy a hearty breakfast of sweet and savoury dishes prepared with fresh, local ingredients.
Breakfast is served at the table, but there is also a buffet corner offering high-quality local and typical products. A choice that leaves nothing to be desired!
Breakfast must be booked and is always available at the price of € 13.00 per person per day.

The historic residence Duchessa Margherita offers free services: access to free private parking with video surveillance, free wi-fi throughout the structure, use of the loggia as a reading area with extra coffee service.
