High Langa

Cascina Bricchetto Langhe Historic dwelling

in Trezzo Tinella

Staying at Cascina Bricchetto, a historic dwelling in Langa, is a regenerating experience for both body and spirit, in a refined setting and in harmony with the surrounding nature.

Quiet, breathtaking views that reach the Alpine park and a lot of greenery available, make it the ideal destination for small groups of special people and families with children.

The reception and location contribute to providing an experience designed for those who want to “unwind” from work and routine life.

The Farmhouse

Located on top of a hill and recently restored using typical materials, it consists of two differently furnished independent houses, which were made in the central body of this ancient farmhouse.

Built using Langa rock, warm in the winter and cool in the summer, it is probably the oldest house in the town.

Giovanna Oliveri, the owner, speaks excellent English. The family lives inside the property and is therefore, with discretion, available.

Inside and outside

The decor includes both old and modern furniture owned by the family for generations. The homes are equipped with high-end comforts. There is no television.

Outside: gardens with furnishings, tree area with local essences, panoramic terraces furnished in the typical Langa stone porch style with barbecue. There is a garage.

By previous arrangement you can have fruit and vegetables from the private garden.

For the little ones: games area with sandbox, swing, rocker, mini swimming pool.

Details of the houses are found in the relevant box.

Vacation in the Cascina

Staying in one of the two houses, Cà dra Tòpia or Cà der Förn, will allow guests to enjoy their time in total freedom.

Here, you’ll experience the charm of old Piedmont and get to know the Langa culture and hospitality.

You can take part in the traditional religious and food-wine festivities, go to museums, exhibitions and numerous traditional markets.  You’ll discover typical local products such as: cheeses, sweets, cold cuts and vegetables and you’ll get to know their producers.

Upon request, you can take part in Giovanna’s typical local cuisine cooking classes.

The houses

Cà dra Tòpia

The name comes from the old and traditional pergola grape vine (topia) alongside the house.
This two story house is characterized by ancient “vaults” in typical Langa exposed brick.
The house consists of a sleeping area with six beds (3 bedrooms), three bathrooms, a large living room with fireplace and fully equipped American style kitchen and a long balcony.

Cà der Förn

The name comes from the old bread bakery where the families from the hills once cooked their bread. The oven was restored and is therefore now working.
This house, which has a more modern style, consists of a sleeping area with four beds (2 bedrooms), two bathrooms, a living room on two levels with a fully equipped kitchen and a thermal-closed fireplace.
